Trump’s Asia Tour: A New Era of American Prosperity
President Donald Trump’s recent Asia trip underscored a “golden age for America” rooted in peace, prosperity, and mutual respect, according to State Department principal deputy spokesperson Tommy Pigott, who dismissed criticism of the journey as “ridiculous.” Speaking on “National Report,” Pigott highlighted billions of dollars in agreements that directly benefit U.S. workers and families, emphasizing investments in American industries, partnerships with U.S. companies, and global purchases of American energy.
“The results of this trip prove Trump’s foreign policy delivers tangible gains for the American people,” Pigott stated. He praised the president as a “peacemaker” who secures deals that strengthen supply chains and position the nation for 21st-century success. “This is what an America-first foreign policy looks like,” he added.
Pigott, who accompanied Trump on the trip, noted overwhelming international enthusiasm for the president’s visits, with leaders and citizens alike expressing excitement over opportunities for U.S. businesses and bilateral relationships. He cited a peace agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, as well as numerous trade and investment deals across Asia. Additionally, Pigott highlighted progress in combating the fentanyl crisis, citing an agreement with Chinese President Xi Jinping to restrict precursor chemicals used in fentanyl production.
“The president is delivering on his promises,” Pigott said, stressing that Trump’s strategy combines diplomacy with domestic strength. He concluded by framing the trip as a demonstration of America’s renewed global standing and commitment to its interests.
