Trump Warns Colombian President Petro to ‘Watch His A’ Over Cocaine Smuggling Claims

President Donald Trump issued a clear warning to Colombian President Gustavo Petro during a Saturday morning briefing on his takedown order against former Venezuelan leader Nicholas Maduro.

When asked about his previous comments regarding Colombia’s role in drug trafficking, Trump stated: “He has cocaine mills. He has factories where he makes cocaine, and yeah, I think I stick by my first statement. He’s making cocaine. They’re sending it into the United States, so he does have to watch his a.”

The remarks followed Trump’s December 22 briefing at Mar-a-Lago, where he announced plans for a new naval battleship. During follow-up questions, Trump reiterated that Petro, who described parts of the southern United States as “invaded” territories, must “watch [it] because he has drug factories.” Trump emphasized his support for the Colombian people while criticizing the country’s leadership.
