Springsteen Condemns ICE Agents in Minneapolis: “Get the F Out” After Renee Good Shooting
Bruce Springsteen delivered a blistering critique of federal immigration authorities at a New Jersey charity event on Sunday, directly telling Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to “get the f out” of Minneapolis. Speaking ahead of performing his song “Promised Land”—which he dedicated to 37-year-old Renee Good, the woman fatally shot by an ICE officer in Minneapolis two weeks ago—Springsteen declared: “If you believe in the power of the law and that no one stands above it, if you stand against heavily armed, masked federal troops invading an American city using Gestapo tactics against our fellow citizens…”
He added: “If you believe you don’t deserve to be murdered for exercising your American right to protest, then send a message to this president—ICE should get the f out of Minneapolis.”
Springsteen has long criticized President Donald Trump, labeling him “unfit” for office in May 2025 and accusing lawmakers of failing to protect Americans from what he called an “unfit president and a rogue government.”
Trump responded on Truth Social by dismissing Springsteen as “highly overrated,” calling him “a pushy, obnoxious JERK.”
Meanwhile, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed the Justice Department is not investigating the January 7 shooting of Good. Blanche stated: “Look, what happened that day has been reviewed by millions and millions of Americans because it was recorded on phones… We don’t just investigate every time an officer is forced to defend himself against someone putting his life in danger.”
