Former Rep. Pete King accused Democrats of failing to condemn antisemitism within their party, urging consistency in addressing bias while highlighting what he called “rampant” hostility toward Jewish communities. Speaking on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America Weekend,” King criticized the Democratic Party for not upholding the same standards applied to other groups.

King specifically cited Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and former Vice Presidential candidate Josh Shapiro, noting that Kamala Harris’s decision not to select Shapiro as her running mate was rooted in antisemitism. “The fact that she couldn’t pick him because he was Jewish is antisemitism anywhere,” King said.

He also condemned New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, calling him “anti-Israel, anti-American, and pro-Hamas.” King alleged Mamdani’s ties to figures linked to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing exemplify the dangers of far-left ideologies. “This man is wrong. He’s evil. He must be stopped,” King asserted.

Former Georgia Rep. Jack Kingston echoed these claims, arguing that antisemitism is more prevalent among Democrats and progressive factions. He pointed to figures like Omar and other members of the so-called “Squad” for targeting Jewish voters and expressing hostility toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “The GOP stands firmly with Israel and rejects antisemitic rhetoric wherever it appears,” Kingston said.

King further criticized Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts for defending Tucker Carlson’s interview with Nick Fuentes, an avowed racist and antisemite. Roberts had previously praised Carlson as a “truth-teller” amid backlash over the segment.
