Rep. Randy Fine Condemns Liberal Immigration Policies and Antisemitism
The United States is borrowing money to fund benefits for immigrants, including those here illegally, with liberal policies creating a generation dependent on government handouts, according to Rep. Randy Fine. Speaking on Newsmax’s “Sunday Agenda,” the Florida Republican criticized the financial burden of these policies, stating, “We don’t have a choice,” as the country funds such programs through debt rather than taxation. He cited a $1 trillion deficit, emphasizing that both legal and illegal immigrants receive benefits.
Fine argued that America has abandoned self-reliance for newcomers, saying, “If you want to come to America for freedom and opportunity, that’s a discussion I’m willing to have,” but added, “If you’re coming here… to get free stuff, you ought to stay home.” He highlighted his family’s experience, noting they required a guarantor upon immigration. “My parents needed a guarantor… my aunt’s husband had to sign on the dotted line so you wouldn’t become a burden on the government,” he recalled.
He condemned liberal policies for fostering dependency, stating, “I feel bad for people, but not actually thinking about the consequences of it.” Fine stressed that government aid is not an entitlement, calling it a “gift given by your fellow taxpayers because you are unable to care for yourself.”
Turning to antisemitism, Fine denounced conservative commentator Tucker Carlson as “the most dangerous antisemite in America” and announced his office would sever ties with the Heritage Foundation after its leadership failed to condemn Carlson. He accused Carlson of hypocrisy, saying, “He used to be great champions of Jews… having this about-face—I think he’s paid.” Fine also suggested some antisemitic rhetoric on the right stems from resentment, blaming Jews as an easy target for unfulfilled lives.
