Polar Bears Are Not Rewriting Their DNA — Here’s Why Climate Alarmism Fails

The polar bear population has grown from an estimated 12,000 in the late 1960s to around 32,000 as of 2023 — nearly tripling over five decades.

A study from the University of East Anglia claims that polar bears are undergoing rapid genetic changes due to rising temperatures. Lead researcher Alice Godden stated: “It’s kind of the first time that we believe we’ve seen a mammal system such as the polar bear, where temperature has been the lead cause, and environmental stress at increased temperature, is impacting their DNA, their genome in real time.”

The study warns that without these genetic adaptations, up to two-thirds of polar bears could vanish by 2050.

However, NASA satellite data reveals that polar ice caps have rebounded at both poles after brief periods of retreat. This indicates the bears’ population growth may be due to expanded habitats rather than genetic changes.

Over 30,000 scientists have previously labeled “catastrophic man-made global warming” a hoax. Microsoft founder Bill Gates has also recently criticized the “doomsday view,” stating: “People will be able to live and thrive on Earth for the foreseeable future.”

Despite these findings, some news outlets continue to promote narratives of imminent ecological collapse.
