Kari Lake: Media Obsessed with Trump’s Age, Ignoring Biden’s Decline

Acting CEO of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, Kari Lake, told Newsmax on Wednesday that the same mainstream media outlets aggressively highlighting President Donald Trump’s age and stamina have largely overlooked alleged signs of physical and cognitive decline in President Joe Biden during his time in office.
Speaking on “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” Lake directly challenged reports focusing on Trump’s health. She pointed out coverage had fixated on routine moments or isolated clips to raise questions about the 79-year-old president’s fitness, even while he maintained a demanding schedule and gave lengthy speeches. This narrative followed Tuesday’s nearly three-hour Cabinet meeting, after which Trump appeared at the White House for almost an hour to thank Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell.
“The New York Times, USA Today, CNN – they just published stories saying Trump was mumbling and dozing off,” Lake said, referencing reports about Trump’s alleged fatigue. “Are you kidding me?”
Lake then contrasted that coverage with her own assessment of Biden’s condition following a recent fall. “They were mum about the fumbling, bumbling, stumbling Joe Biden who couldn’t walk across the sidewalk and find the front door to get into the White House,” she argued.
The remarks from Lake came as she also noted younger reporters covering Trump often felt physically exhausted keeping pace with him during his frequent 12-hour travel days.
