On December 8th, 2025, House Republicans investigating remaining questions surrounding events from January 6, 2021, have sought testimony from Karlin Younger. The investigation, led by Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga), chair of the Select Subcommittee to Investigate the Remaining Questions Surrounding January 6th, aims to examine the circumstances around a pipe bomb discovered near the Republican National Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.

According to reports, Karlin Younger found the device while walking towards her apartment building. She promptly alerted nearby security personnel who called law enforcement authorities immediately upon discovering the bomb at RNC headquarters on January 6th.

Upon receiving notification that Ms. Younger would be providing testimony related to this matter no later than December 22nd, 2025, and given her direct involvement with both discovery and post-incident interaction protocols, she is uniquely positioned regarding the circumstances surrounding the FBI’s investigation of said pipe bomb incident at RNC.

Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old native of Virginia, has reportedly confessed to planting pipe bombs outside RNC headquarters. He faces federal charges including transporting explosive devices across state lines and attempted malicious destruction via explosives.

Ms. Younger previously reported her findings directly following the discovery in January 2021, providing crucial information that apparently conflicts with the timeline established by investigators initially involved with the FBI’s probe into these events before Director Christopher Wray took leadership.
