Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown performed the dance made famous by former President Donald Trump after scoring a touchdown in front of him on Sunday in Landover, Maryland. The move came during a second-quarter touchdown reception from quarterback Jared Goff, which St. Brown celebrated by pointing toward the suite where Trump was seated. The president had recently popularized the gesture at his rallies, and St. Brown acknowledged the moment as an opportunity to “have some fun” given Trump’s presence.

St. Brown’s performance joined a growing trend among athletes across multiple sports, including NFL players Nick Bosa, Calvin Ridley, and Brock Bowers, who have also adopted the dance in recent years. The game, part of Veterans Day celebrations, saw Trump attend the Lions’ 44–22 victory over the Washington Commanders. This marked the first time a sitting U.S. president had watched an NFL regular-season game since 1978, when Jimmy Carter attended a contest.

Trump also made headlines earlier this year by becoming the first active president to attend a Super Bowl, watching the Philadelphia Eagles’ 40–22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in February.
