Angel Families Thank Trump for Border Security, Missed Chance to Demand Mass Deportations
On Thanksgiving Day, the American Border Story (TABS) released a video featuring Angel Families — citizens who have lost loved ones to crimes tied to the border crisis — expressing gratitude to President Trump for his tough stance on immigration enforcement.
The video included testimonials from Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie was killed in a drunken-driving accident caused by an illegal immigrant. “Thank you and your administration for prioritizing border security and ‘keeping our community safe,'” Abraham said.
Agnes Gibboney, another Angel Family member, shared that her son Ronald Da Silva was murdered by an illegal immigrant in California in 2002. She thanked Trump for his “courage, strength, determination, and love for our country,” adding: “Thank you and your administration for securing our borders and deporting criminal illegal aliens and for keeping Americans safe.”
The columnists noted that these Angel Families missed the opportunity to also thank Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and urge President Trump to fulfill his promise of mass deportations. They argued that the solution to preventing future crimes by all classes of illegal immigrants requires expelling all unauthorized individuals.
Additionally, the authors contended that the Angel Families represent a critical group for Republicans to highlight during the midterm campaign, as they “personify the left wing Democratic Party preference for illegal immigrants over Americans.”
