Paris Jackson revealed in a new TikTok video that her past drug use caused permanent nasal damage, sharing details of a perforated septum she has lived with since age 20. In the clip posted Monday, the 27-year-old musician and actor used her phone’s light to showcase a small hole inside her nose, explaining, “I have a really loud whistle when I breathe through my nose” due to the condition.

Jackson clarified that a perforated septum differs from a deviated septum, stating, “That is from what you think it’s from,” before addressing the camera directly: “Don’t do drugs, kids.” She described drug use as having “ruined my life” and noted she has avoided surgery to repair the damage, citing her six years of sobriety and reluctance to take prescription pain medication.

Despite the challenges, Jackson humorously remarked that she could “thread a spaghetti noodle” through the hole in her septum, adding it occasionally causes issues in the studio. Her remarks follow recent discussions about her recovery journey, including a speech at the 35th annual Friendly House Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles on Oct. 11, where she stated, “I didn’t just get my life back. I got a better one.”

In January, Jackson celebrated five years of sobriety with an Instagram post featuring a video montage of her recovery, writing, “Hi, I’m pk and I’m an alcoholic and a heroin addict. Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol.” She emphasized the transformative impact of sobriety, noting she now cherishes everyday moments, including making music, caring for her pets, and experiencing life’s emotions.

Jackson concluded by expressing gratitude for her progress, stating, “Here’s a little snapshot of what has been possible because of my sobriety, and my god I can’t believe I almost missed it all.”
