President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Monday to attack Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., calling him a “Third Rate Congressman” and a “Weak and Pathetic RINO.” Trump accused Massie of consistently opposing key GOP- and Trump-endorsed legislation and criticized his stance against military actions, particularly against Iran. The president endorsed Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Kentucky farmer Ed Gallrein for the 2026 race, praising him as a “true America First Patriot” capable of advancing “Make America Great Again.” Trump highlighted Gallrein’s military background, business acumen, and commitment to reducing taxes, regulations, and supporting American agriculture. He claimed Massie’s low poll numbers reflect his failure to align with Republican priorities, declaring that Kentucky voters would reject “a totally ineffective LOSER” in favor of “CAPTAIN ED GALLREIN IS A WINNER WHO WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN.”
