Conservative Commentator Calls for Unwavering Support for Israel Amid Rising Antisemitism

Former police officer and conservative commentator Brandon Tatum delivered a fervent speech at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s Annual Leadership Summit in Las Vegas, urging Christians to “stand by our Jewish brothers and sisters to the very end.” Tatum, host of “The Officer Tatum Show,” framed the battle against antisemitism as a moral imperative, stating, “We have to stand by those principles to the very end.”

Tatum addressed growing divisions within the political right over attitudes toward Israel and Jews, noting that while figures like former President Donald Trump have reaffirmed support for Israel, others on the populist right have faced criticism for endorsing antisemitic rhetoric. He condemned what he called “foolish” conspiracy theories about Jewish influence, including claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu controls Trump or that Jews “run the world.”

The speaker credited his first trip to Israel with reshaping his perspective, describing it as a revelation of innovation and stability. He also criticized Hamas’ 2023 attack on Israel, stating, “If you dare commit such an atrocity against people chosen by God, you should never have an opportunity to do it again.” Tatum concluded by challenging attendees to act boldly, declaring, “God bless Israel.
