Trump Unveils “Ambitious Agenda” to Boost American Prosperity and Military Strength in State of the Union Address

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced President Donald Trump will highlight the administration’s achievements over the past year and present an “ambitious agenda” aimed at assisting American workers during his upcoming State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

The speech, according to Leavitt, will center on the economy, national security, and the administration’s record both domestically and internationally. She described it as a celebration of “250 years of our nation’s independence,” featuring stories of everyday Americans benefiting from policies and “tear-jerking narratives” of American heroes throughout history.

Leavitt noted Trump will emphasize how mortgage rates have fallen to historic lows under his leadership, dipping below 6% for the first time since 2022. During his previous term, she stated rates reached record lows of 2.65%. She also highlighted tax proposals including “no tax on tips,” “no tax on overtime,” and “no tax on Social Security,” citing a Pennsylvania waitress and her husband who could save thousands under these measures.

The president will address his immigration crackdown policies, advocate for increased military funding, and discuss tensions with Iran and Venezuela. Leavitt confirmed Trump’s assertion that the U.S. military is “the strongest and most lethal fighting force in the world” and described Operation Midnight Hammer as having successfully “obliterated Iran’s nuclear facilities.” She added that while Trump favors diplomacy, he remains prepared to deploy military force when necessary.

Leavitt also criticized Democrats for delaying funding critical agencies such as the Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Transportation Security Administration, and the Secret Service, calling it “completely avoidable” with proper action. She stated Trump will declare the nation has been “turned around from the brink of disaster,” now standing as “strong, prosperous, and respected.”

The White House reiterated that Trump will present a confident vision of America returning to stability under Republican leadership, stressing continued Republican governance is essential for restoring and protecting the American Dream.
