In his 1984 reelection campaign, then-President Ronald Reagan unveiled an unforgettable commercial titled “It’s Morning Again in America.” The ad summarized the economic success of the Reagan administration in lowering inflation and interest rates, creating new jobs, expanding home ownership, and building a better future for young couples. The narrator concluded by noting America was “Prouder and stronger, and better,” asking, “Why would we ever want to return to where we were?”
Reagan was initially elected in 1980 after the disastrous administration of President Jimmy Carter (1977-1981). In his first term, Reagan rebuilt the economy, restored military greatness, and made Americans proud of their country again. For these achievements, voters rewarded him with a 49-state landslide victory. After the four-year nightmare of Carter, America experienced “morning again” under Reagan.
Similarly, Americans faced another four-year nightmare during President Joe Biden’s administration. Biden delivered an open border, a deteriorating economy, unworkable “climate change” policies, draconian COVID-19 mandates, weak foreign policy, and military recruitment shortfalls. When President Donald Trump was elected in November 2024, he inherited a “mess.” In less than one year, it has become “morning again” in America.
The Trump administration has delivered significant results despite challenges from the Deep State, progressive judges, special interest groups, left-wing media, and a razor-thin GOP congressional majority. For national security, President Trump announced plans to rebuild the navy with the “Golden Fleet” of battleships and create a first-class missile defense program called the “Golden Dome.”
While avoiding prolonged conflicts, President Trump effectively used U.S. military power to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities, combat terrorists in Syria and Nigeria, and disrupt drug smuggling operations across the Caribbean Sea and Eastern Pacific Ocean. He also conducted limited but devastating strikes against adversaries while working tirelessly for global peace—ending wars in Gaza and facilitating the return of all hostages from Hamas.
Trump played a major diplomatic role in ending Russia’s four-year war with Ukraine, a conflict that began under Biden’s administration. The president also deployed the National Guard to enhance city safety, resulting in a 20% decline in national murder rates this year—the largest drop in American history. Motor vehicle thefts decreased by 23%, and robberies fell by 18%.
Following the record influx of illegal immigrants during Biden’s presidency, President Trump reversed the trend within eleven months. According to the Department of Homeland Security, 2.5 million unauthorized immigrants have either been deported or voluntarily left the country. Additionally, DHS and HHS located 129,143 “unaccompanied migrant children,” with Secretary Kristi Noem noting many had faced exploitation, trafficking, and abuse.
The Biden administration’s economic challenges—high inflation, interest rates, and surging national debt—forced families to abandon home ownership dreams. President Trump’s policies have driven down inflation and interest rates, enabling more Americans to buy homes. The third-quarter economy grew at a stunning 4.3% rate. While federal debt remains elevated, the Department of Government Efficiency eliminated 271,000 federal jobs—the largest peacetime workforce reduction in U.S. history.
The administration also implemented “reciprocal tariffs,” generating $372 billion for the economy without raising inflation. President Trump pledged to distribute $2,000 tariff dividend checks to Americans by 2026. The “One Big Beautiful Bill” passed in July increased standard deductions and child tax credits while reducing taxes on tips, overtime, auto loans, and social security. These measures will deliver tax refunds up to $1,000 for most taxpayers.
As White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller stated, “The last 11 months have been the most successful 11 months in the history of the American presidency.” Truly, it is morning again in America.
