Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz has labeled Maria Farmer’s allegations against Jeffrey Epstein as “pure McCarthyism” during a recent interview, accusing her of being a “complete and total nutcase.”

The legal expert dismissed Farmer’s claim that she had met Dershowitz at Epstein’s residence before their acquaintance, calling it implausible: “She sees ghosts.” He further criticized her beliefs in conspiracy theories, including the assertion that the Holocaust did not occur and Jews control the world.

Dershowitz emphasized that U.S. authorities would have rejected Farmer’s claims in 1996, noting that such allegations were inconsistent with factual evidence. He also condemned partial transparency by federal agencies, arguing it distorts historical records and risks undermining legitimate victims.

In his remarks, Dershowitz highlighted how some accusers, particularly young women, were allegedly profiting from Epstein’s network by charging for their involvement in illegal activities. He urged the prosecution of those he claimed operated within the statute of limitations.

The comments followed recent disclosures of redacted Epstein-related records by U.S. officials.
